Inbound DID/DDI
Inbound DID Complements VoIP
In the Telco world, DID is an acronym for Direct Inward Dial. In Europe, they use DDI, which is an acronym for Direct Dialling Inward. DID and DDI mean the same thing: being able to route an incoming call based upon identifying digits from the telephone company.
This function is typically a special type of trunk line you need to order from the telephone company. It can be an analog trunk or a digital T1/PRI line.
When DID Inbound capability is matched with Voice over IP (VoIP), many benefits accrue to the subscriber. For instance, you may be based in Houston, TX but wish to establish a 'local' voice/fax presence in Charlotte, NC. You simply obtain a DID number from us. We then route that number via VoIP to your comapany's main PBX. This reduces cost of remote field offices and staff.
This feature is very useful for international users who wish to establish a North American presence. In addition to a local DID number, shortly, we will be able to offer 1-800 number service to your inbound DID number.
We have flexible plans for our Inbound DID capabilities. We offer two types of plans:
Take a look at our North America Coverage list. We are adding more sites, so if you don't see your requested area listed, please inquire. <%method title> Inbound DID/DDI %method>
